Otherwise, the pairing process MUST be repeated from step 2. Enter this 2-digit code twice in the app and press Enter. Upon successful connection, the app displays an interface similar to your CT thermostat. It is recommended to re-name the CT thermostat at this point. See "B. Renaming a device from the Main screen: 1. Touch the line for the CT thermostat you wish to re-name. Press Change Name. Enter any name which makes it easy for you to identify the system controlled by the CT thermostat.
Press Update to save the new name. The new name appears on the screen. If you wish to override this behavior you can set a default device.
The first problem you can handle yourself. All you need to do is reset the temperature level to a more comfortable and lower setting. That should have the AC unit kicking in. The other problems would require the services of a skilled and approved repairman. They will have the necessary tools to track down the problem and be able to replace the sensor or control boards if they have gone bad.
They will also check for other issues to make sure they found the right source. If it is a simple loose, broken, or corroded wire, you should be able to handle the repair yourself. Just tighten or replace the wire and reset your thermostat. Also, check for other connection issues and fix those at the same time.
However, if the thermostat is broken or one of the other components has failed, you may need to replace one or all of them to get the system up and working. A snowflake icon will appear beside the name of the CT thermostat in the Paired Management screen to show that it is now selected as the default.
